Lilacbush (Aubrieta deltoidea)
Lilacbush is a Subshrub and is ideal for use in rock gardens. The flowers of cultivated varieties are available in pink, violet, white, lavender, rose, lilac and more often as a mixture. This Subshrub is native to southeastern Europe, but grown worldwide as an ornamental landscape Subshrub, or rock garden plant, or Alpine shrub.
Lilacbush, Rock Cress is ideal for use in rock gardens, as it is a low spreading shrub, evergreen and hardy perennial. It prefers light well drained soil, and is tolerant of a wide pH range, and can grow in partial shade or full sun. It is also attractive to bees and other insects such as butterflies.
