Species of the Forsythia genus are deciduous shrubs typically growing to a
height of 1m to 3m (3-9 ft.) and, rarely, up to 6m (18 ft). The steams and
branches of Forsythia are rough grey and or brown bark. Forsythias are popular early spring flowering shrubs in gardens and parks. Two species of Forsythia are commonly cultivated for ornament, Forsythia � intermedia and Forsythia suspensa. They are both spring flowering shrubs, with yellow flowers.
